Every year during Thanksgiving, after we’ve stuffed our bellies with the day’s feast, the men of the family head down to the living room to watch football (or fall asleep from a food coma), while the women huddle around the dining room table, iPads and laptops out, strategizing and coordinating their Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping. When I was still living at my family home, I would grab my brother and we’d go to Destiny USA in Syracuse, no plan in mind, just for fun as the shopping started late in the evening of Thanksgiving, not getting back home until midnight. But for the past couple of years, I’ve been sleeping in the morning of Black Friday, groggily grabbing a cup of coffee and sitting on the couch as I scroll on my laptop and phone, getting the bulk of my Christmas shopping done for the family, taking advantage of the days deals (and getting myself a treat or two 😉).
Today I’m not going to share what I bought for my family (I know some of you are reading this…Mom!), but the things I got for myself. Happy shopping!
Madewell Vintage Straight Jean in Becker Wash: Button-Front Edition $130 $55

If you know me, you know how much I LOVE Madewell denim. This past year I bought my first pair of jeans from them, as well as a denim jacket. With that said, I couldn’t NOT take advantage of their Black Friday deals (50% off EVERYTHING). I also had $10 in rewards so I
Lucy and Yak Dungarees $191 $148

I’ve been searching for a good pair of overalls this past year and I found the perfect brand that specializes in them. Lucy and Yak is a brand based in the UK and their products are made from sustainable materials and are made for everyone. This Black Friday, I splurged and got their Original Denim dungarees in Mid Wash Blue and their Original Cotton dungaree in Autumn Maple.
Glamnetic Press-On Nails $107 $75

I’ve been holding off buying anymore Glamnetic Press-On Nails and waiting for their Black Friday sales to hit. Glamnetic has by far the best press-on nails I’ve ever tried in my life. I get compliments on them wherever I go, they look like acrylics and stay on like acrylics for up to 2 weeks! Extremely impressive. This year, I bought 6 different styles: Marshmallow Swirl, Confetti, Gryffindor, Cloud 9, Oslo and Red Affair.
Sale: 30% off sitewide and 65% off select items.

OK, so with their Black Friday deals alone it would’ve been $290, but I had store credit that I used to my advantage this Black Friday. Here are the items I bought this year:
- Damien Sherpa Coat | Dark Camel
- Callie Knit Sweater | Natural Multi
- Troy Knit Sweater | Green
- Robin Striped Knit Sweater | Orange Multi
- Hawthorne Knit Sweater | Navy
Sale: 25% off sitewide.

I didn’t buy too much this year as far as makeup goes because I didn’t think the sales at Sephora and Ulta were all that great. But I decided to get a refill of one of my favorite foundations: the Nars Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation. It’s the only full coverage foundation that I love and will definitely be wearing it on my wedding day. Plus, Nars was offering a 4-piece gift set if you purchased $40 or more from them!
Sale: $10 off purchase. I also used $6 rewards for this purchase.

I’ve been waiting for Black Friday to purchase more KraveBeauty and the day finally arrived. They are by far my favorite skincare brand to date. This year I bought their Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser, 100% Cold-Pressed Tamanu Oil, Great Barrier Relief serum, Great Body Relief lotion.
Sale: 15-50% off sitewide.

Inspired by the “tomato girl summer” trend on TikTok, I’ve been eyeing this tomato lamp on Urban Outfitters for the past few months, but have been waiting for Black Friday to see if it would go on sale. To get free shipping, I rounded up my purchase with Freck Beauty’s OG Freckle Pen and So Jelly Cactus Eye Jelly.
Sale: 40% off sitewide

Ladies, let’s face it. Underwear and bras are one of those things that we have to re-purchase regularly and Parade offers some of the best. Parade undergarments are comfortable and seamless, sustainable, are in an affordable price range and have sizes up to 5XL. If you haven’t heard of the brand, I suggest you check them out.
I bought 4 pieces…
- Vintage High-Rise Brief
- Support Lift Plunge Bralette
- Smooth Lift Triangle Bralette
- Ultra-Flattering High Rise Thong
Sale: 40% off sitewide. Up to 80% off on select items! Use my discount code for $10 off your purchase: AMBER-CE2.
HRH Collection $240 $150

HRH Collection doesn’t have your typical “sale,” meaning no discounted prices. However, over the holidays she will put up “free” items on her site. When the holiday is over, those items will be marked up at the original price. This year, HRH had her J’Adore necklaces up for free with a purchase, so I just had to get my hands on one of these cute designs. I purchased the free J’Adore Metallic Candy Heart necklace in gold, the Jolie Link Bracelet and the large 70s Everyday Hoops.
Needless to say, I’m VERY happy with my Black Friday shopping this year and I can’t wait to try on everything when it comes in!
