
Ingredients:
- 1 x 750 ml bottle of dark, dry red wine (merlot or malbec)
- ½ cup sugar
- 3 cloves
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 bay leaf
- ½ tsp. freshly grated nutmeg
- 3 clementines (skin on) sliced, plus extra to decorate
To decorate:
- thinly sliced apple
- cinnamon sticks

Recipe:
- Add all ingredients to a saucepan and heat over low-medium heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Leave to infuse for 10-15 minutes, but don’t allow it to simmer or boil.
- Ladle into mugs and serve with apple and clementine slices and cinnamon sticks.
