Don’t get me wrong, I love to organize, plan, execute my goals and be productive. However, I also like to cuddle up with tea or coffee and scroll through social media and what better time to do that than over the holidays when you’re just chilling in your PJs anyways?
Let me help you procrastinate with some YouTube videos that I’ve found and enjoyed watching over this past year. If you have any of your own recommendations, leave them in the comments below!
- Stevie Nicks just being her amazing self
There is something so natural and pure about her singing so candidly and just for the joy of it. This video truly captures her magical presence and amazing talent.
- Stop-Motion Lego
…these videos are so entertaining. I could watch them for hours.
- Florence Pugh Eating 11 Traditional British Foods
The queen celebrity foodie, Florence Pugh! Her personality is so entertaining and I love how she knows so much about the history behind the British foods she’s trying in this video. Her Cooking with Flo series on Instagram is amazing and I definitely recommend watching. Warning: This video will make you hungry and inspired to get cooking!
- Brittany Broski Interviewing Hozier
I couldn’t make this list without including one of my favorite female comedians, Brittany Broski, and one of my favorite musicians, Hozier. I’m a huge fan of both Brittany and Hozier so it was nice to see them get together and Brittany unapologetically fangirling over Hozier and also asking him some deep questions about his music!
- Florence Pugh again…but she’s cooking!
…oops I did it again. Another Florence Pugh video, but this time Vogue takes her to the kitchen and she’s cooking! Again, love all of her cooking videos.
- Vice Doc on Caroline Calloway, the Instagram Scammer everyone loves to hate
I’ve definitely fallen down the rabbit hole of watching Vice mini-docs on YouTube, but this one I found super interesting since I’ve been following Caroline Calloway ever since her ex-best friend Natalie wrote a scathing essay about her for The Cut. Was I scammed by Caroline Calloway? Yes, I bought her book early this year and still have yet to receive it!
- 72-Hour Beef Wellington
Can you tell I like to watch cooking videos and mukbangs when I’m bored? This guy’s channel is truly inspiring and also relaxing to watch. Every video I watch of his I want to try myself, including this 72-hour beef wellington!
- Oddly Satisfying Soap ASMR
If I could do this for a living I would.
- Victoria Pedretti’s candid chat on sensitivity
Although I’ve had to unfollow Victoria on social media for personal reasons (I’m just gonna say it: Her supporting Balenciaga was a big red flag), I still think she’s a great actress and this video really touched me. Did I tear up? Yes.
- Bestdressed’s Ultimate Apartment Makeover
I’ve rewatched this video multiple times and it inspires me to organize and decorate my own apartment to create the space of my dreams.
- Hitomi Mochizuki completing a 20-mile hike and camping in the mountains of Washington State
Did this video inspire me to finally book a flight to Washington State this year? Yes.
- Wooden Van Conversion and Tour
I follow these two on Instagram @parkingonthewildside and I’m so happy they released this van tour. Personally, I don’t think I could pack my life up and live out of a van, but I would love to try it out.
- Tana Mongeau and Trevi Moran’s Blackout Drunk GRWM in Mexico
I connect with Tana Mongeau’s crackhead energy on a visceral level I cannot comprehend or explain.
I hope you enjoy some of these videos and they help you smile, relax, get inspired, whatever.
Love,
Amber
